Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which casino gambling is not permitted. Eight gambling halls are situated in a relatively tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; however, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and though visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is real of most borders.

The 1st Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship gambling den, contains 150 slot machine games and 60 table games. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of 150 slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machines and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six table games, including 87 punto banco (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and 66 of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel compound that highlights a number of conveniences on top of the gambling den, which has ten thousand square feet of 130 one armed bandits and 88 tables.
